Base roster vs DLC: what counts
Tekken 8 launched January 26, 2024 with roughly 32 base characters. This page only covers the season-pass and DLC fighters that came after, so you can tell at a glance who you have to pay extra for. Every DLC fighter is fully cross-platform, just like the base cast — see is Tekken 8 crossplay? if you plan to take a new pickup online. Season 3 has been pushing the roster higher with each drop.
Season 1: the Year 1 Pass
Season 1 was originally marketed as the “Playable Character Year 1 Pass” and is now commonly called the Season 1 Character Pass. It delivered four fighters across 2024:
- Eddy Gordo (April 4, 2024). The capoeira specialist and the first DLC fighter to drop.
- Lidia Sobieska (July 25, 2024). Returning karateka and political heavyweight from Tekken 7.
- Heihachi Mishima (October 3, 2024; early access September 30 for Year 1 Pass holders). His return arrived alongside a story expansion, per Gematsu.
- Clive Rosfield (December 19, 2024; early access December 16 for Year 1 Pass holders). A guest character from Final Fantasy XVI, the sword-wielding crossover that closed out the year. Revealed at The Game Awards 2024, per Bandai Namco’s official announcement.
Season 1 was sold as the Season 1 Character Pass at around $29.99, with a Character & Stage Pass version that also bundled two battle stages, GENMAJI TEMPLE and PHOENIX GATE (Season 1 Character Pass on Steam). Prices vary by platform and region and dip during sales.
Season 2: Character and Stage Pass
Season 2 ran across 2025 and came in two flavors: the Season 2 Character Pass, and a Character & Stage Pass that also bundled two battle stages: PAC-PIXELS and BAOBAB HORIZON. The four fighters:
- Anna Williams (April 3, 2025; early access March 31). Nina’s sister and longtime franchise rival. Her return headlined the Season 2 roadmap reveal at TEKKEN Talk Live, per Bandai Namco.
- Fahkumram (July 10, 2025; early access July 7). The towering Muay Thai bruiser returns.
- Armor King (October 16, 2025; early access around October 13). The masked wrestler is back. He was unveiled at Evo 2025 alongside the first tease of Miary Zo, per Bandai Namco.
- Miary Zo (December 5, 2025; early access December 2).
Miary Zo is the standout. She is an all-new original character (not a returning veteran) and the first Tekken fighter from Madagascar, drawing on Moraingy and other African martial arts. She fights alongside two ring-tailed lemurs (Vanilla and Cacao) as the vessel of the “Silver Fighting God.” Her arrival completed Season 2 and brought the roster to around 40 playable characters. See Bandai Namco’s launch announcement for the official character breakdown.
Season 3 Pass: the current lineup
The Season 3 Pass is the headline. It was revealed in early February 2026 and went on sale February 9–10, 2026, per Bandai Namco’s Season 3 Pass reveal. It contains four characters, one new stage, and a costume pack:
- Kunimitsu (out now). General release was June 1, 2026, with early access May 27 for pass holders. The returning kunai-and-ninjutsu thief is the newest Tekken 8 DLC character. See Bandai Namco’s “The Enchanted Thief” launch announcement.
- Bob (Summer 2026 window, Jul–Sep). Next up. Exact date not yet announced.
- Roger Jr. (Autumn 2026 window, Oct–Dec). The returning boxing kangaroo. Exact date not yet announced.
- Yujiro Hanma: Winter 2027 window, and the final Season 3 fighter. A guest crossover from the Baki anime and manga, revealed at Combo Breaker 2026 (announcement dated May 24, 2026, as reported by EventHubs). Only an anime teaser was shown at reveal. No gameplay yet, so his moveset and archetype are still unknown. Bandai Namco has confirmed only a Winter 2027 (Jan–Mar) window, not an exact date.
The pass also includes a new battle stage, SUBSEA LOCKDOWN, arriving alongside Yujiro in early 2027, and the Aurora Outfit Pack, an exclusive costume bundle of 44 designs.
The Season 3 Pass is priced at $34.99 USD on Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox, with individual DLC fighters sold separately at around $7.99 each (Season 3 Pass on Steam). Regional prices vary.

Season 3 release roadmap
Season 3 staggers its four characters across roughly a year. Confirmed windows:
| Character | Window | Date status |
|---|---|---|
| Kunimitsu | June 2026 | Released (Jun 1) |
| Bob | Summer 2026 | Window only (date TBA) |
| Roger Jr. | Autumn 2026 | Window only (date TBA) |
| Yujiro Hanma | Winter 2027 | Window only (date TBA) |
Only Kunimitsu has a confirmed day-level date. For Bob, Roger Jr., and Yujiro, Bandai Namco has announced seasonal windows but not exact dates. Treat those as expected, not locked, and check back here when each is confirmed.
How season passes and early access work
Before you buy:
- Character Pass vs Character & Stage Pass. The base pass gives you the four fighters; the Stage edition adds the season’s bonus battle stages (and in Season 3, the SUBSEA LOCKDOWN stage is part of the pass).
- Early access. Pass holders play each character before the general release. Seasons 1 and 2 used a roughly 72-hour (3-day) head start; Season 3 extended that to a 5-day early-access window.
- Buying individuals. You do not have to buy the whole pass — characters are also sold separately (around $7.99 each in Season 3). The full pass is the better value only if you want most of the lineup.
Is there a Tekken 8 Season 4?
No. As of June 2026, Bandai Namco has not announced a Season 4. Any talk of Season 4 characters or future guests is speculation until there is an official reveal. Season 3 is still rolling out, so the realistic expectation is that a Season 4 announcement, if it happens, would come after Season 3 wraps in early 2027.
